 8 Quality Controls

  1. ISO 9002 standards and quality norms are followed.

  2. DIN-1697/ASTM-A-48/BS-1452/JISG-5501 standards.

  3. Each casting is subject to inspection for all the mechanical properties, surface perfection's, dimensional deviations, chemical analysis, and internal flaw and microstructures views prior to the shipment.

  4. Well equipped lab and R & D for

    1. Sand testing

    2. Carbon silicon analysis (with carbon silicon analyzer)

    3. Microstructure testing for metallurgical properties.

    4. Hardness testing by poldy meter.

  5. Both cupola attached with C - analyzer

  6. Highly qualified technical staff in shop floor and quality inspection.

  7. Regular training and orientation programs for staff and labor.

  8. All departments are well attached to computer department for better coordination and highest quality standards.

  9. Tolerance achieved is +/- 0.05 mm on finished / machined castings and +/- 1.00 mm on as cast surface Surface roughness on finished casting is 3.0 to 6.0 microns and 25.0 microns as on cast.

 8 Process of Production

1) Methodizing of pattern drawings

    1. Type of pattern   : One piece, split, multi piece, cope and drag, sweep.
                                Follow board and other as per buyer's requirement.

    2. Type of molding   : Sand molding in cope and drag, floor.

    3. Type of core       : Sand cores (CO2 process)

    4. Time of poring     : In seconds.

2) Pattern making

  1. Wood pattern  : in house facility.

  2. Metal pattern  : as per customer's requirement.

  3. Gating system : Poring basin, spur, runner, in-gates, rising

3) Mold & Core making

Mold and cores are generally made of sand, Muller and mixtures are used for sand preparations. Pneumatic tools are used for molding (ramming sand).

4) Cupola operation

    1. Equi-blast cupola furnace complete with air blast volume and pressure control with 5.0 tons. per hour capacity, having 42 " inner diameter.

    2. Alloying being done to obtain some specific property in the metal using silicon, Copper, molybdenum, magnesia etc.

    3. Controls for the temperature, silicon and carbon contents are controlled digitally

5) Chipping and fettling / shot blasting Hand tool and pneumatic tools are used for these processes.

6) Machining

    1. Proof and final machining for ready to use castings.

    2. All general machines are available on the shop floor.

    3. Special machines include

      1. Plano miller having cutter dia -- 250 mm and machining dimensions upto
        l x w x h -- 7 x 1.5 x 1.5 meters

      2. Boring machine having machining dimensions upto l x w x h -- 8 x 4 x 4 meters F)
